Hoda Emam is a multimedia journalist and documentary filmmaker based in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

She is currently reporting on issues related to parenting many of which reflect on her own life as a mom of three. Hoda is also the West Coast Host for Asset TV, a global video research and learning platform for investment professionals.
Prior to that, she anchored and co-produced the daily business show 'U.S. Day Ahead' for Thomson Reuters. In addition, Hoda has contributed to The Guardian, ABC News, CBS News and the United Nations Population Fund.
This year, her film Shot in the Dark which focuses around a group of visually impaired athletes whose differences are leveled on the playing field will be screening internationally. The abridged version of the film called 'Playing by Ear' was awarded honorable mention by the 'Katherine Schneider Journalism Award for Excellence in Reporting on Disability'. 
Hoda holds a masters degree from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
